TV Show Recommendations

I am a huge fan of TV. There are many other shows that I love besides CSI, so I'd like to share them with you here!
Twin Peaks-On the morning of February 24,1989 in the town of Twin Peaks, Washington state,Pete Martell discovers a naked corpse tightly wrapped in a sheet of clear plastic on the bank of a river. Following the arrival of Sheriff Harry S. Truman, his deputies, and Dr. Will Hayward on the scene, the body is discovered to be that of homecoming queen Laura Palmer, a figurehead of youthful innocence and purity in the Twin Peaks community. The news spreads among the town's residents, particularly Laura's family and friends. Meanwhile, just across the state line, a second girl, Ronette Pulaski, is found walking along the railroad tracks in a fugue state. Because Ronette was discovered across the state line, FBI Agent Dale Cooper is called in to investigate.Created by David Lynch and Mark Frost, this was a ground breaking, strange, frightening, fun, funny and mystical experience. I'll never forget falling in love with Twin Peaks. You can rent the series on NetFlix, buy it or download it. Watch and enjoy. You'll be watching a television phenomenon. You'll never forget it. And remember...."The owls are not what they seem...." One of the greatest TV shows of all time.

Murder in Small Town X-A reality/mystery/game show/adventure series that aired for one season in 2001. The winner of the series died during the attacks of Sept 11th. MimiGrissom and I would watch the show together via telephone and it was fun, scary, interesting and frustrating. Here is the summary from Wikipedia:
The premise of the show was to bring 10 contestants from around the United States of America to the small fishing village of Eastport, Maine (called "Sunrise" in the show) to act as amateur investigators to solve a series of fictional murders. Initially, the investigators were given a list of 15 suspects who were "townspeople" played by actors and actresses. A large number of improvisational actors and actresses were stationed around the real-life town, and their job was to provide clues (useful and not useful) to the investigators. Each week, the investigators were sent out on varying missions around the town in order to discover clues to clear suspects. Additionally, the murderer would strike again, clearing suspects as well. In every episode a Lead Investigator, or Lifeguard, is chosen. In the first episode, the Lifeguard is chosen by picking one of ten cards. For the following episodes, the Lifeguard is chosen by the investigator who was "murdered" the previous episode. For the final two investigators, the previous investigator who was "murdered" will determine who gets his or her first choice on which suspect they want to pursue. Every three days, two envelopes, red and black, would be discovered somewhere in the town. In the red envelope, there would be a question about what the investigators had learned during the day. The question would usually be pointed to one of the track teams, meaning whoever was involved with that line of investigation has the highest potential of answering it correctly. The team's answer would be sent to the killer via e-mail, with the address being anonymous. If correct, the killer would clear one of the remaining suspects. If wrong, the number of suspects would remain the same. Afterward, the black envelope would be opened. It contains two smaller black envelopes, each containing a map of a certain location. The investigators (except the Lifeguard) would go into a separate room to vote for the first person who will play the Killer's game. After the vote, the Lifeguard picks the second person who will play. The two investigators would each choose a map and head out to the two different remote locations completely alone, with their movements recorded only by night-vision cameras. One of the investigators would discover an important clue to the mystery, whereas the other would be "murdered" from the show as a "murder victim," with their last seconds seen through the eyes of the "killer" in the manner of classical slasher films like Psycho.

Episode One Part Two
Friends- Six twenty something New Yorkers laugh, cry, love, live and learn together and create one of the greatest shows in television history. Monica,Phoebe,Chandler, Rachel, Ross and Joey are the Friends. You will learn of a secret love, a third nipple,Smelly Cat, Duck, Chick, Janice, and more. Winner of Emmy awards,People's Choice Awards and more. I own the collector's edition of this amazingly funny show.
Little House On The Prairie- Based (sometimes rather loosely) on the amazing "Little House" books by Laura Ingalls Wilder, this heartwarming show stared Micheal Landon, Mellissa Gilbert, and more. A wonderful, thoughtful, sweet and sometimes horribly sad show that focused on simple things...Faith, Love, Family, and Hope. Sometimes, the show tended to wander, but when it was on track, it was wonderful.
The Closer (Still airing on TNT)-Deputy Police Chief Brenda Lee Johnson runs the Priority Homicide Division of the LAPD with an unorthodox style. Her innate ability to read people and obtain confessions helps her and her team solve the city's toughest, most sensitive cases.
Kyra Sedwick is one of the greatest actors on TV today. The show is hysterically funny, horrific, dramatic, interesting and fun. One of my "MUST SEE" shows. Don't miss this award-winning show. CSI fans should love it.
Charmed-Three sisters reunite and discover their shared destiny. They are The Charmed Ones, witches who are extremely powerful who battle the forces of evil to protect innocents. The first three seasons stared Shannen Daughtery as oldest sister, Prue Halliwell, Holly Marie Combs as Piper Halliwell, and Allyssa Milano as Phoebe Halliwell. Later, Prue died and a half sister, Paige (Rose McGowan) joined for the remaining seasons.Love romance? Danger? Sci Fi? This is the show for you. A classic in my mind and one of the characters, Piper, is alot like me,(so my Mom told me) so I named myself "Piper" in honor of that. I own all 8 seasons on DVD and I suggest you check it out.
Medium- Its focus is Allison DuBois, who acts as a research medium for the Phoenix, Arizona district attorney's office. The lead character is a wife to loving husband, Joe, and the mother of three daughters who all inherited her gift, apparently passed from generation to generation. The original premise of the show was based on reported experiences from self-proclaimed spiritual medium Allison DuBois, who claims to have worked with law enforcement agencies across the country in criminal investigations.
An amazingly wonderful show that not only focuses on the crimes, the cases and the 'supernatural' aspects of the show, but it also features Allison's family front and center. Joe, Allison's husband is a dream come true, her girls are sometimes bratty, but always cute and the DA is so great. One of the best 'supernatural' shows ever on tv. On a side note, early in the shows seasons, I watched an episode,1x15 "A Penny For Your Thoughts" that scared me so horribly in the first five minutes of the show, that I've refused to watch the episode again. I hope to buy all the seasons on DVD, but I'll be skipping that one. Watch this show. It's awesome.

The real Medium talks about the show
I Love Lucy-If you've been living your whole life under a rock, you don't know about the All Time Classic TV Comedy staring the multi-talented Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. Married in real life the lovely couple grace 1950's tv with classic scenes that have been imitated but never duplicated. If you ever need to feel good, watch an episode of I Love Lucy.
Happy Days- Richie, Ralph, Potsie,Joanie, and The Fonz....a tv series set in the 1950's. Goodbye grey skies, hello blue! Rock around the clock, and be cool or will tell you to sit on it. LOL.
Sex and the City- Carrie Bradshaw, a writer who writes "Sex and the City" lives the ultimate single life in NYC. Her friends, Charlotte, Miranda, and Samantha date, sleep around, fall in lust, go to parties, and get their hearts broken. An award-winning comedy, staring Sara Jessica Parker as Carrie, this show also features incredible fashions and NYC hot spots. Want some good 'dirty' fun? Watch Sex and the City.
Paranormal State-Delve deep into the strange and the mysterious with Paranormal Research Society founder Ryan Buell and his team of investigators as they attempt to unravel inexplicable paranormal phenomena including sixth-sense experiences, ghost sightings, demonic disturbances, and brushes with the darkest areas of the unknown. Founded by Buell in 2001, the PRS works on cases across the country and is one of the most recognized paranormal societies in the nation. Past seasons of PARANORMAL STATE™ have included cases such as a Pennsylvania couple besieged by paranormal activity in their home, an aggressive poltergeist in Maryland, and a ghostly hag nicknamed the "Lady Vampire" by the Texas family she torments. Through the use of Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP) recordings and video documentation, and with the help of renowned psychics, demonologists, psychologists and counselors, the PRS explores these bizarre cases in the hopes of helping frightened people who have nowhere else to turn.(A&E Network). A reality show that shows us the 'other reality'. My husband doesn't this is real, but I do. I just watched an episode in which a young woman is terrorized by a demon. It's scary, heartbreaking, heartwarming and always interesting. Do not miss this show if you enjoy the paranormal. Paranormal State Scary Moments
Dog The Bounty Hunter-This reality show follows Duane "DOG" Chapman and his family while they chase down the bad guys. I love DOG, he's a hoot and his big boobed wife, Beth is a woman NOT to mess with. My fave part of the show is when they all hold hands, say a prayer and then say "let's go get the motherf&%$er" ROTFL. If you like COPS,and a good time, watch Dog. Dog The Bounty Hunter
Gene Simmons Family Jewels- The Demon, Gene Simmons from KISS, is a honest-to-God family man. No matter how 'cool' he thinks he is, how much of a ladies man he claims to be or how important he thinks he is, he's just Genie. Devoted to Shannon Tweed for over 20 years, and the proud father of two kids, this rocker is one softy of a guy. Don't miss Gene's first season, now on DVD. It was the best.Gene Simmons Family Jewels
