Captain Brass

James Brass enlisted in the Marine Corps after high school. He fought in the Vietnam War and then went on to graduate from Seton Hall University with a degree in History. He then moved to Newark and spent 20 years working up to homicide detective. Sadly, behind his back his wife, Nancy was having an affair and had a daughter named Ellie ( who Brass loves as if she were his own). At the same time Brass was having an affair of his own, but claims it was Nancy's affair that ruined the marriage. In the 1990's Brass transferred to Las Vegas and eventually met up with Gil Grissom and his team of CSIs ( he soon would act as an administrator to the team). In the episode 'Cool Change' Brass is demoted as Supervisor of the CSI team and back to Homicide.
