I really enjoyed this book. It's an easy and fast read. GSR fans will really love the GSR in this one. It's set before it became cannon, but check this out:

But as Sara approached between floor-to-ceiling shelves of specimen jars, he reflected that she was one detour he'd always welcomed,probably going back to when she first audited his lectures back in San Francisco. In those days, however,he'd allowed no concessions to his emotions.

(Sara)She started toward the quad,Vasquesz's good-natured attention putting a lift in her step. Though her heart fully belonged to Grissom-atriums,ventricles,blood in,blood out-it was encouraging to know she could draw the tadpole's attention.

The crimes are interesting, but you know the real reason I wanted this book-the GSR. It doesn't disapoint at all.

There is also a point in the book where Grissom gets a tad jealous!!!! Gotta love that!!!
